Babies are amazing. They're resilient, curious, happy, flexible and honest. Most adults? Not so much. Why is that? Well, it has a lot to do with their upbringing and parents. This is good and bad.
Imagine if employees could revert back to a baby mindset? How would this change them? I guess it depends on what they had for support, right? Unlike growing up, they no longer have mentors - they now have "managers". Are most managers at your work nurturing or encouraging? Does it matter?
Why do babies have success as much as they do? First, they possess a great perspective. Second, the lucky ones typically have two loving and supportive parents. Last, they don't overthink things.
If babies fall done, they simply get up. If they hurt themselves, they look at their parents to see how they need to react. They are also fascinated with the world and people and they love to compete.
So, why can't we train and mentor more of the work force to adopt the mindset of a baby?
